About me

  • I am a bariatric patient myself. I had a Vertical Sleeve Gasterectomy in spring 2022.
  • Starting weight: 98kg / 216 pounds
  • Highest weight: 104kg / 229 pounds
  • Current weight: 63kg / 138 pounds and maintaining!

What I can do for you

I am about to finish my degree in Psychology and I am profounding my knowledge in Coaching and Mentoring. I am working with people who need help keeping their focus during their weight loss journey. It is not important if you need to lose 10 or 50 kilos. Let us do that together.

My strengths are motivation, laser-sharp focus, and keeping your spirit high even during inevitable setbacks. I am strongly against fad diets! They do more harm than good anyway.

I can teach you how to start small and build good habits that will start snowballing fast and you will not be hungry, angry, and hating the gym. There are better ways to lose weight 🙂 I am all for long-term sustainability. Once you lose the weight, you will be able to maintain the weight. That is what counts in the end, right?

If you are a bariatric patient who feels lost in the process and has no idea what is going on, if it is normal and you have no one to ask, here I am. I wish I had someone to ask and whine about how horrible it all is. I can assure you that I fully understand what you are going through. Been there, done that.

And yes, it is incredibly frustrating that the doctors prepare you for the technical part of the surgery, but somehow forget to tell you what it is really like, how it feels and what it will do to you through the stages.

Do not give up! It is all so much worth it. I wish I had done that years ago. My journey was not completely easy, but I would do it a million times over in a heartbeat.

I am working continuously on improving my knowledge and skills to be able to help better people who are undergoing the same difficulties and obstacles as I did. Personal experience is the best, no doubt about that, but one also needs theoretical background to have solid foundation while dealing with these problems.

Obesity is a disease, it is not only an aesthetic problem as many would say. There is a lot hidden behind and the past is chasing us much more than we are willing to admit. There is no point in blaming, shaming or pressuring people. I am pretty sure that many of you/us have dealt with fatshaming or bodyshaming not only from people around but also from medical professionals. These things must stop!

I proudly announce that I finished another field of coaching that relates closely to weight management and implies a huge commitment to long-term weight maintenance. And not only that. Alcohol and food addiction have surprisingly so much in common and the management is not so different. Please, do not be angry with me, it is still addiction, just another substance.
I feel well prepared to help you deal with this field.

What is necessary to underline here is the following: I am not an adictologist or a doctor. My work comes after you are cleared of physical dependency and you are managing potential health-related problems. I can help you with the day-to-day commitment, be your accountability person, and help you with cravings or triggers. I can be the support person you can whine to, tell me your difficulties, we can celebrate your milestones, and set new goals on your way to sobriety.

It may seem that this does not belong here at all. But you would be surprised how much it is relevant! Eating disorders are very often behind weight fluctuation and there are many patients who suffer with weight and struggle for years before their real problem is addressed and it can be treated. Many cases of anorexia started because people were bullying the patient for extra weight.

Unfortunately, this disorder can appear also in bariatric patients who get so obsessed with weight loss that combined with compulsive obsessive disorder and perfectionism can lead to another extreme with weight management. Luckily, there are not many.
